The Power's in the Word

Story, print and poetry workshops: Inter-generational Project 2018

The Power's in the Word brings together young people and seniors to write, illustrate and perform stories and poems.

Working at Kingston Arts Centre in Moorabbin, selected participants will work with acclaimed writer Emilie Zoey baker and visual artist and printer Adrian Spurr. The group will self publish examples of their work.

No experience necessary! Suitable for beginners! Everyone welcome!

 

Workshops: Ten FREEworkshops between June and October 2018 will be held on various Tuesdays at Kingston Arts Centre in Moorabbin

Exhibition: An exhibition about the project will be launched in conjunction with Seniors' Festival in October

Get involved: Applicants must attend an interview to find out more about the project. Please note, numbers are limited. All applicants must complete an Expression of Interest form

This project is presented in a partnership between the City of Kingston Social Development team, Kingston Youth Services and Kingston Arts.
