Little Big Shots
APRIL SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Little Big Shots turns six this year and we’ve got the world’s best films for kids to help us celebrate! Better yet, you’re all invited to the party, and guaranteed to go home with a goodie bag full of insight, laughs and imagination!
Perfect for families and kids aged 2 and up, Little Big Shots showcases a brilliantly eclectic mix of the best in filmmaking for, about and sometimes even by kids. In 2009, the festival will screen films from 25 different countries, including plenty of award winners, over 40 Australian premieres and 8 world premieres.
There are plenty of furred and feathered creatures to charm and delight, and some unforgettable individuals whose battles with sibling rivalry, neighbourhood bullies and a wacky weather machine will leave you inspired, uplifted and cheering for more. A retrospective of animations from Aardman in the UK is the icing on the cake featuring our friends Wallace and Grommit!
Little Big Shots is a great introduction to the world of film for our youngest cinema goers, and will make kids laugh, think, whoop and create.
"Whoever thinks kids just want to sit at home in front of the TV has obviously never been to a screening at the children’s film festival."
