Vaudeville X
WINNER GREEN ROOM AWARD FOR BEST ORIGINAL SONGS IN CABARET
NOMINEE GREEN ROOM AWARDS FOR MOST OUTSTANDING CABARET,
BEST ENSEMBLE AND BEST DIRECTION
Beginning as a stylish, pseudo-intellectual vivisection of contemporary Australia, Vaudeville X sheds its manners and descends into an anarchic romp of exquisite satirical numbers. Featuring songs such as “Things Aren’t Going Well When Girls Called Narelle Drink Caffe Latte”, “Morons on Breakfast Radio” and “We Love Private Schoolboys Doing Satire”, Vaudeville X lampoons the middle class like only the middle class can.
High Performance Company’s cult-hit cabaret has charmed audiences throughout Australia since its first incarnation in 2004. It now takes on Kingston Arts Centre, armed with a cosmetically enhanced line-up of songs. Come and feast on the blood of failed merchant bankers, conservative politicians and left wing hypocrites while quaffing a nice pinot grigio.
