Both Kingston Arts Centre and Kingston City Hall offer a variety of rooms for hire that can be adapted to your needs.  We give you the flexibility to create your own personal style for your event.  With help from our professional staff, all of the rooms listed below can be adapted to suit your specific requirements.

Kingston City Hall

The Grand Hall

Ideal for large functions or events. Comprising an expansive raised stage for performances, presentations or awards and floor space that can comfortably seat up to 800 people. The Grand Hall & Banquet Room combined provide maximum seating capacity (theatre style) for 1,000 people.

The Banquet Room Banquet Hall

For something a little more intimate, our Banquet Room is an excellent venue for your next product launch, corporate event or private function, accommodating up to 200 people (seated).

Function Room Function Rooms

Our Function Room is a warm, comfortable space perfect for corporate events from 10 to 100 people and is fully equipped with multimedia equipment.   For two meetings or breakout sessions, you can divide the Function Room into two separate areas.

 The Function Room can be divided into two separate areas that may be used individually or opened up as one. With access to mulitmedia equipment, flexibility is it’s greatest asset.

The Chamber - Classical Elegance       Chamber

With old world charm, The Chamber is a warm and inviting space sure to impress your guests, clients and colleagues. The ornate ceilings, classical windows and original light fittings create an elegant setting for intimate functions or events for up to 65 people.

Workshops

Our workshops are clean, bright, multi-purpose rooms with wet floor areas designed for creative endeavours. Ideal spaces for budget conscious training sessions, with the ability to be divided into two rooms or opened up as one.

Theatre Theatre

Kingston Arts Centre houses a state-of-the-art fully equipped black box theatre with retractable seating for 94, making this unique and intimate space ideal for performances, presentations, filming, seminars or film screening events.

The Mighty Wurlitzer

The Mighty Wurltizer

The historic Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ that lifts through the Grand Hall stage floor as it plays is a fascinating and entertaining point of difference for any event.

Built in 1928, the instrument, now listed with the National Trust of Australia, was designed to recreate the sound of a whole orchestra and provide the musical accompaniment for silent films at the opulent State Theatre. “The Mighty Wurlitzer’ as it was well known is the largest Wurlitzer organ to leave America and deemed to be one of the greatest instruments of its kind in Australia.  It was installed in the Kingston City Hall in the late 1960’s.

The Mighty Wurlitzer is available for hire and we are also able to assist in sourcing professional organists if required.
