Without Men
Tang Ying
Without Men is artist Tang Ying's comment on the improved social attitudes, living standards and marriage conditions in China that have enabled women to spend more time nurturing their children, and developing and enriching their own lives. In this series of paintings Ying blends traditional Chinese materials and techniques with western styles and influences to create unique and vibrant works that offer insight into a topic seldom addressed in Chinese contemporary art.
