Kingston Arts is an exciting arts venue and gallery space that exhibits the work of emerging to established arts practitioners from across our municipality, Victoria and interstate. We present a dynamic contemporary art program for Kingston residents and wider Melbourne audiences.  

We are currently accepting expressions of interest for artists looking to exhibit in 2025. Successful applicants will receive a $1000 stipend, curatorial and installation support, ongoing assistance to ensure a smooth exhibition and launch event, and more.  

We are looking for applicants across all fields of contemporary art, including sculpture, installation, moving image, painting, drawing, digital media, sound, photography and live art. We encourage applications from artists of diverse backgrounds, across all spectrums of ability, age, cultural background, gender identity and sexual orientation.

Kingston Arts has three Gallery spaces: G1 and G2 located at Kingston Arts Centre, Moorabbin; and G3, located at Shirley Burke Theatre, Parkdale. We also have an external projection space, The BRIDGE, located at Kingston City Hall, Moorabbin. There is no fee to exhibit and we offer a stipend to exhibit per exhibition space. Depending on the scale of your exhibition, you may propose to use both G1 and G2.

How to apply 

Before applying, please read the exhibition info pack which contains information on available exhibition periods, what documents you will need to submit, as well as assessment criteria.  

Submissions are open between Wednesday 11 September, 2024, 9am and Sunday 13 October 2024, 11:59pm. If you have any accessibility requirements, need assistance with your application, or have any questions, please contact: visualarts@kingston.vic.gov.au.

Artists selected: October 2024. Successful artists will be notified early November 2024.
