Kingston Arts Creative Development Opportunities

Applications are now closed for our new Artists in Residency Program hosted across two locations, Moorabbin and Parkdale. Applications will reopen in 2025.

This program is designed to accommodate artists of various styles and needs, providing an environment that encourages creation, collaboration, and artistic growth.

Resident artists will enjoy access to rent-free, shared spaces for three-month periods, along with opportunities for professional development and community networking. Additionally, Kingston Arts Centre, Moorabbin residents will receive financial support of $1,500, while Shirley Burke Theatre, Parkdale residents will receive $4,000 per period to help cover expenses such as materials.

We invite artists of all skill levels and life experiences to apply.

Important dates

Applications open: Monday 29 April 2024, 9pm

Applications close: Sunday 2 June 2024, 11:59pm

Resident Artists selected: Friday 07 June 2024  

Residency period Begins: Monday 01 July 2024 

Residency period concludes: Friday 08 August 2025 

Residency Length: 3-month period with option to extend.
