Kingston Women of the Year Awards will be presented at the International Women’s Day ceremony hosted on Friday 7 March 2025.
Nominees of this award are women who are leaders in their field, who inspire others and who make a difference to our community through their exceptional professional or personal achievements. We are celebrating nominees across four categories:Courageous commitment
- Excelling in Arts or Sport
- Inspiring innovation
- Success in STEM
Guest speaker – Jamila Rizvi: Deputy Managing Director of Future Women, Jamila supports governments and employer organisations towards creating gender equality. A co-host on “The Briefing” podcast, best-selling author for adults and children, and a columnist for Sunday Life Magazine (included in The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald). Jamila was a 2020 Women and Leadership award winner and named in the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence. Jamila lives and works on Wurundjeri land in Melbourne, with her husband Jeremy, 7-year old son Rafi and large puppy, Sonny.

Parking Exemption: Due to the large number of expected attendees, the Kingston Arts Centre car park may be busy on the day. If you are unable to find a space in the car park, you can park in ANY timed parking bay (with the exception of ¼P bays) in the surrounding streets for the duration of the event.
The Kingston City Hall is a 5-minute walk from Moorabbin Train Station if you would prefer to leave your car at home.
