Breathe is an extraordinarily beautiful creative collaboration between two of Australia's premier instrumentalists, Michael Johnson (harp) and Evripides Evripidou (guitar). Composed and inspired by the duo at the Royal Botanic Gardens (where Johnson is Resident Musician/Composer and Ambassador for the Gardens), this sublime collection of pieces is inspired by the gifts of the natural world.

With backgrounds in jazz, folk and classical, and original compositions drawing influence from Ireland, Spain and South America, Johnson & Evripidou have performed alongside such artists as James Morrison and David Herschfelder and their music is regularly aired on international radio, film and television.

The connection and musicianship of these two gifted multi-instrumentalists, and their attention to production detail, culminates in a concert of the highest calibre. All these effects can be heard throughout Breathe as they celebrate the Earth as our delicate and vulnerable home.

“Breathtaking..beautiful…exactly the kind of music we need right now.”

                                                                      Paul Bevan, ABC Radio

“This music is so deeply moving and ethereal in its beauty…Johnson and Evripidou contribute equal parts in musicality, spirituality and humanity to these works, leaving the listener totally transfixed."

                                                                 Owen McKern, Station Manager, 3PBS
