Provenance:
Doris Percival was born near Horsham in Victoria's Wimmera region, an area that has strongly featured in her work. She is completely self-taught in the art of 'bark pictures' using hindreds of varieties of bark collected from throughout Australia over the years. Her bark painting "A Wimmera Landscape" primarily uses bark collected from parks and gardens in the Kingston area.
