Join us this September school holidays for adult and kids Street Art Workshops with The Blender Studios!
With over 20 years of experience delivering street art educational experiences in Melbourne, The Blender Studios team of professional artists are well equipped to provide mentoring through exciting and unique street art workshops. Their outreach programs demonstrate the theory behind street art as a positive social practice. Street Art Workshops engage all people in different ways and encourages organic expression through art; learning new techniques and core values of restraint and respect for the art form and their community, with the ultimate aim of inspiring a new generation of creativity, whilst also discouraging anti-social graffiti and vandalism.
ADULTS WORKSHOP
Freehand Workshop for adults (2 hour duration)
About: The Blender Studio's freehand workshop offers an exclusive chance to learn a variety of spray-painting techniques from a renowned street artist. The workshop will start with an artist talk from the instructor and a street art demonstration where they will cover a range of different can skills to get the students started on their spray-painting journey. Armed with their own design, partcipants will create their final masterpiece for the day. This workshop is perfect for developing can control and learning spray-painting techniques for street art and muralism.
Date: Saturday 17 September
Workshop 1: 10am - 12pm
Workshop 2: 1pm - 3pm
Please note: Each workshop covers the same content so please only book in for 1 session. There is a maximum of 15 people permitted per session and these sessions are open to adults only

KIDs WORKSHOP
Pre-Cut Stencil Workshops (45 min duration)
About: The Blender Studio's Pre-Cut Stencil workshop allows the group to learn the process of stencil creation. Each participant will work with our professional artists and tutors to develop their own multi-layered designs using our supplied stencils. The group will get a street art demonstration and learn how to use spray paint before creating their final stencil piece on a canvas that they can take home.
Date: Wednesday 21 September
Workshop 1: 10am - 10:45am (8+ year olds)
Workshop 2: 11:30am - 12.15pm (10- 16 year olds)
Please note: These workshops are strictly for the specific age groups outlined above. Please ensure you choose the correct workshop for your child's age group. Due to OHS, children under 8 years old are not permitted to participate in these workshops.
There is a maximum of 15 children per session and drop ins will not be permitted

- Spray paint cans will be used in these workshops
- The workshops will be held undercover outdoors for ventilation
- Gloves, masks and aprons will be provided
