In this ceramics workshop, adult participants will explore the basics of marbled clay to build their own unique and functional plates to take home. Participants will be introduced to marbling techniques, including agate-wear, nerikomi, and neriage, which will be used to achieve the intricate coloured patterns unique to each plate design.

Julie-Anne van Tatenhove is a current Kingston Ceramic Studio Artist. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Ceramics) at Monash University. Her practice focuses on tableware working across nerikomi and agate-wear techniques. Julie-Anne’s tableware products can be purchased through her Hampton-based business, Mud Bird.
