  • Max 8 participants per class
  • Cost: $25 per person
  • No ceramic experience required

In this this open and playful workshop, participants are invited to get their hands messy and experiment with natural hessian fibres and liquid porcelain under the guidance of tutor, Narelle White. You will be encouraged to create tactile, hand-built objects, which will then be fired to burn away the hessian fibres to reveal a surprising new porcelain sculpture.

Artist bio

Narelle White is an early-career artist with a passion for the messy unpredictability of experimental ceramic process. She approaches ceramic enquiry as a field of experimentation and engages her materials as wilful co-conspirators. Her work explores qualities such as porosity, contingency and subjectivity to change; underpinned by an observance of the intelligibility of matter.
