Bridge Projection: Still Buffering

As part of Midsumma Festival, 'Still Buffering' will screen on The Bridge Projection Space every Friday evening during Pop Up until the 22nd February.

The audio soundtrack will be available to listen to throughout the Pop Up Bar evenings via QR code available on-site. The Bridge can be viewed from the Kingston City Hall footpath and by south-bound traffic on the Nepean Highway.

Still Buffering is an audio-visual project that offers insight into the current dating climate, gender norms and growing presence of the LGBTIQA+ community by looking into the past to cast a mirror into the future. The source material of the art is derived from antiquated instructional videos based on the Family Ideals and Values of the nuclear family in the USA from the early 1950's onward. 

Willow Franklin is a transgender woman and Melbourne based digital artist working primarily in the field of visual mixed media incorporating glitch art and found materials.

Yanni Mougos is a cis man and Melbourne based Sound Designer and Composer working primarily in the field of sound installations, audio-visual exhibitions and recorded works.

Jacob Sutherland is a poet and non-binary person living in Melbourne working primarily in the written form and currently completing their first book.
