Discover the intriguing world of Australian native plants and bushfoods.
If you have ever wanted to learn about bushfoods, including identifying and cooking with local native plants, then this is the class for you! We’ll work with edible plants from our local area as well as spices and food sources grown in both tropical and inland Australia. In this fun, hands-on workshop you will learn:
- How to identify Indigenous plants
- Nutritional benefits
- How to harvest plants sustainably
- Where plants can be sourced in Melbourne and regional areas
- How to grow and maintain edible plants at home
- Recipes for everyday cooking
Handouts and recipes will be provided to all participants.
