Discover the elegance of Chikankari embroidery and create your own intricate piece. 

Chikankari, also known as Shadow Work, is a traditional embroidery technique originating from 16th-century India. In this workshop, you’ll learn its history, explore different stitches and motifs, and create a unique embroidered sample. 

All materials are provided, and no prior sewing experience is required – the stitches are simple and easy to follow. 

This workshop will cover: 

  • The history of Chikankari embroidery 
  • Stitching techniques and motifs 
  • Basics of sewing with sheer cotton fabrics 
  • Creating your own embroidered sample
