Paper Weaving: Make a Paper Bag or Basket

Book now

Paper Weave Your Own Paper Bag or Basket

Learn a beginner-friendly weaving technique to craft your own paper bag or basket.

Learn the basics of basket weaving in this beginner-friendly class. You’ll use thick, high-quality paper to create your own beautiful basket or bag that imitates the look of wicker weaving. While different materials such as raffia can be used in basket weaving, paper is more malleable and better suited for those starting out.

In this workshop, you’ll pick up key weaving techniques and learn how to make a bag from start to finish. Best of all, this technique can be replicated at home using recycled paper, including from magazines and newspapers. All materials will be provided in class.
