The Pretty Littles by Fi McRae.

Shapes! Is a new series of gigs and workshops for teens (13 to 17 year-olds).

The third instalment of our music series Shapes! features Melbourne's beloved underground guitar band, the Pretty Littles, back with their anthemic Australian garage rock and roll, led by the resilient Jack Parsons.

On support is First Nations artist Canisha who is a soulful singer-songwriter with an edge, captivating listeners with emotive and playful pop.

the pretty littles

Despite cult status without mainstream success, The Pretty Littles' recently released album, "Force," is a turning point. The final single, "Taking On Water," details the band's recent rebirth after founding members departed, leaving Parso to rebuild with members of Neighbourhood Youth. The revitalized lineup has already sold out tours and shows, hinting at the energy captured on "Force," a record Parsons is incredibly proud of and eager to share.

canisha

CANISHA is a First Nations artist with a captivating exploration of emotion in her music. Her debut EP, DON'T BE SCARED, released in 2024 via Bad Apples Music, showcases her confident and lush pop sound. She has performed at festivals like Yirramboi Festival, St. Kilda Music Festival, Share the spirit at Sidney Myer Music Bowl and Treaty Day Out.
