Arabella Strachan leads hands-on and exploratory workshops at G3 Gallery, Parkdale this March, showcasing specialised techniques in yarn, fabric, tufting, and mark making. Participants are encouraged to tap into their creative instincts, guided by Arabella’s distinctive textile and mixed media-based artistic practices.
During the three-hour sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to craft a small artwork, employing a variety of techniques including yarn, fabric, painting, mark making, and needle tufting. The workshop demystifies the use of punch needles, covering everything from the basics of the tool to selecting the appropriate fabric, and exploring different stitches. Arabella will guide participants through the exploration of colour, texture, and layering, aiding in the discovery of their own style and visual voice.
