City of Kingston is seeking expressions of interest from craft and design-focused creative practices in Melbourne’s South for a unique Artist-in-Residency (AIR) program running from December 2023-June 2024. Based in the heart of Parkdale, this program includes a $4,000 Kingston Business grant, Craft Victoria membership and mentorship package as well as a fully funded Kingston Arts space in the G3 gallery at the front of Shirley Burke Theatre.

The Kingston Arts residency will suit a small group of craft, design and small artwork artists who would like to share an accessible multi-purpose exhibition, studio and retail space. To apply Submit an Expression of Interest through Smarty Grants process inviting submissions from interested groups.
Expressions of Interest close: 23 November at 9am.
Applications can be made via SmartyGrants.
Selection
A selection committee consisting of Craft Victoria, City of Kingston Arts and Kingston Business employees will assess the applications based on:
- The suitability of the proposal for the space
- The need for the artist and benefit for the community
- Strength of the application.
