2023 Grant Categories:
1. Arts Projects (up to $5000)
The purpose of this grant is to fund the creation of art projects that extend the artist’s practice. This grant is open to emerging and established artists and their groups. Applicants need not live in Kingston but project outcomes must be presented within the City of Kingston. Apply online here.
2. Local Makers & Creative Businesses (up to $4000)
This grant supports Kingston based makers and creative business owners. The purpose of this grant is to provide funding and business mentoring to support applicants to showcase and market a product to the public within a creative and/or professional business space. The applicant must live or work within the municipality of Kingston. Apply online here.
Selection criteria
The City of Kingston Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee will assess your application. Arts Grants will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Creative, innovative, original concept
- Capacity to deliver the project
- Community engagement practices and skills
- High quality outcomes
- Capacity to engage target audience
- Strong support material
Who can apply?
If you are applying as an individual or group, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
You may not apply for a grant if you received a grant, or administered a grant, from the City of Kingston in the past and that grant has not been satisfactorily acquitted.
All projects must have an outcome in Kingston.
Applications must meet the eligibility criteria requested within the application form.
