In these photographic works on Kingston's lightboxes, Caroline Monnet invites women who are leaders in their fields to reclaim spaces that had previously been forbidden to their ancestors. These are the fifth and sixth work in a series that the artist began in 2016 in which she critically revisits major historical and art movements through an Indigenous lens.
Kingston Arts is delighted to present the submissions from the 2026 Artz Blitz competition, where participants raced against the clock to make and submit a creative work based on a secret theme in a 24-hour window.
