The Kingston Council's Grants Program provides an opportunity for Council to work in partnership with the local community to build a stronger, more connected neighbourhood by investing in your ideas and aspirations.

There are a range of Grants to apply for; from Community small grants, to larger Operational and partnership grants.

Each year we take submissions from artists to exhibit in our exhibitions program for the year ahead. These have now closed for 2026, and well re-open later this year. 

In the meantime here are some things you can do, to start your artistic journey with Kingston Arts:

• Add your details to Kingston’s artist register:
  Registered artists are notified of opportunities to exhibit, deliver public art or workshops, attend professional development opportunities and more
  
  
• Apply for our Artist in Residence program (Magnify): 
  Applications will open again in early 2026, offering free, three-month residencies, including a paid artist stipend
  
  
• Apply for a Kingston City Council grant for your exhibition or creative project:
  Multiple grant opportunities are available for eligible applications
  
  
• Sign up for our e-newsletter:
  Be notified of exhibition celebrations; join us for complimentary drinks and nibbles, and attend free and low-cost creative workshops, and more
