january show features
From left to right: Sammy J, Gabby Anderson, Robyn Reynolds, Dane Simpson
Dane Simpson
The undisputed king of Wagga Wagga! A masterful storyteller and infectiously upbeat presence, Dane's stories about his hilarious family are legendary. As seen on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Thank God You're Here, Deadly Funny, and Fisk.
Sammy J
Award-winning comedian, writer, composer, and nerd. Supercharged with confidence and bursting with talent, Sammy has performed in Edinburgh, Montreal and London, had a sitcom on Netflix, created satirical sketches for ABC TV, and has recently wrapped up 5 years hosting the breakfast show on ABC Radio Melbourne. In short: he's a national treasure.
Robyn Reynolds
Very funny and characterful British-born comic newly moved to Melbourne from Sydney (lucky us). Laugh-out-loud funny, charmingly candid and armed with solid punchlines, it's no surprise that Robyn won the award for Comedy new Work at the 2024 Melbourne Fringe.
Gabby Anderson
This very talented and energetic Kiwi guarantees to win hearts with her warm personality, joke-filled stories and quirky observations. A comedian, improviser, MC, and teacher, Gabby is destined to become a household name and a world class entertainer. Bonus - you get to boast "I saw her first" to your friends.
March show features
From left to right: Jude Perl, Tony Martin, Annie Louey
Annie Louey
A thoroughly charming and quick-witted comedian and presenter who moves seamlessly between TV, radio and stage. Annie began her comedy career aged 16 years old when she won the national Class Clowns competition for high school students and has gone on to appear on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Allstars Opening Night Supershow and was recently featured on Australian Story. Fun fact: Annie is also a celebrant, so keep that in mind for your wedding (and/or funeral).
Tony Martin
Our headliner is the Mayor of Sizzletown himself! Best known as a member of the D-Generation, co-host of long-running radio show Martin & Molly and host of hit podcast Sizzletown, Tony has been a cornerstone of Australian comedy for eons. With a keen eye focussed on observing the world from the macro to the micro, you are in the hands of one of the best.
Jude Perl
Musical comedy pocket rocket. Darkly humourous lyrics wrapped in cheery piano, delivered with soaring vocals. Scathingly honest and delightfully introspective. As seen on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
