Artists in Residence Program

Our artist residency program at Kingston Arts provides shared studio spaces for visual artists of all backgrounds and career stages, offering a supportive environment for creativity, collaboration and growth.

Magnify resident artists enjoy:

  • access to rent-free, communal studio spaces for a three-month period
  • financial support of up to $1,500
  • opportunities for community networking and professional development.

Who can apply?

Artists of all skill levels and life experiences are welcome to apply.

We encourage applications from creatives with diverse lived experiences from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, migrant, refugee and faith communities, people with disability, gender-diverse communities and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Program dates

Submissions for Magnify: Artists in Residence 2025 - 2026 have closed and successful artists will be notified.

The next round will open for applications in mid-2026.

Open studios

Open Studios sessions are held throughout the year, offering you the chance to meet the artists, see their work and explore their creative process.
