Exhibit with Kingston Arts in 2027
Emerging and established artists are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to exhibit in our 2027 exhibition program.
Our exhibition spaces include three indoor galleries, an Outdoor Lightbox Gallery and a nightly Skybridge projection space, showcasing contemporary art by artists from the City of Kingston, across Victoria and interstate.
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are open for exhibition proposals from early August to early September 2026 for exhibitions presented in 2027. Applications must be submitted via the online form (link) which will become available under 'How to apply' on this page when applications are open.
What Kingston Arts offers:
- curatorial, installation and invigilation support
- promotion
- some exhibition equipment and infrastructure
- celebration event
- artist fee
There are no application or exhibition fees. We welcome applications for solo, group and curated exhibitions.

Application timeline
- Applications open: early August, 2026
- Applications close: early September, 2026
- Artists selected: September, 2026
- All applicants notified: by end of October, 2026
- For exhibitions commencing: mid January, 2027
How to apply
We encourage applications from a diverse range of artists from across spectrums of ability, age, cultural background, gender identity and sexual orientation. We welcome practitioners from all fields of contemporary art including sculpture, installation, moving image, painting, drawing, textiles, digital media, sound, photography, and live art.
All applications must be submitted via the link that will appear when EOIs open. Late submissions are not accepted.

Selection criteria
Applications that address one or more of the following criteria will be considered favourably:
- well-considered, inclusive and accessible proposals
- proposals by under-represented community members
- showcase new and/or experimental work
- artistic merit

G1 Gallery, Kingston Arts Centre

G3 Artspace, Shirley Burke Theatre
Location: 64 Parkers Road, Parkdale
Opening hours: 11 am to 4 pm, Wednesday to Saturday

Outdoor Lightbox Gallery, Kingston Arts Precinct
Location: 979-985 Nepean Highway, Moorabbin
Visible: 24 hours, 7 days a week
Artwork files required to suit the following dimensions:
- 2 x artworks at 1980mm W x 1490mm H (visible area 1800mm W x 1320mm H)
- 4 x artworks at 1180mm W x 1490mm H (visible area 1000mm W x 1320mm H)
- 1 x artworks at 1290mm W x 890mm H (visible area 1260mm W x 860 mm H)
- 2 x artwork at 890mm W x1290mm H (visible area 860mm W x 1260mm H)
Exhibition files to be supplied as high quality PDFs, to the above dimensions, at 300 dpi. To be printed and installed by Kingston Arts, on high quality print stock.

Skybridge, Kingston Arts Precinct
Location: 979-985 Nepean Highway, Moorabbin. Skybridge is located on the south side of City Hall, connected to 999 Nepean Highway
Operating: 5 pm to 7 am daily. Visible from sunset to sunrise.
Standard Specifications:
- three-channel rear projections
- 3 x EPSON EB-700U short-throw projectors integrated with Brightsign media player and software
- duration no more than 10 minutes
- video and animation files are generally prepared at 24fps as a guide. This can be changed depending on the project and style of your video.
- GIFs can be prepared at alternative frame rates per second. Please remember that glitch or strobe-light simulated media can be a health and safety risk to viewers and may not be suitable
- Files are required to be one video file at 5760 x 1080 resolution and exported at H2.254 in .mp4 or .mov format (5760 x 1080 is three 1080p screens side by side)
