Star For a Day: School of Rock

Next date: Tuesday, 14 April 2026 | 09:00 AM to 01:30 PM

Children dance and read a script in a theatre.

Crank up the volume these school holidays with a high-energy workshop inspired by the hit musical School of Rock!

Guided by a dynamic team of theatre professionals – including a director, musical director and visual artist – children will sing, act, move and create as they dive into the electrifying world of rock music and musical theatre.

Young performers are invited to come dressed as their favourite School of Rock-inspired character and bring the story to life through fun-filled theatre games, bold character work and rocking songs from the musical. They'll explore attitude, teamwork, and confidence as they channel their inner rock star on stage.

The workshop finishes with a creative art activity inspired by the rebellious, expressive spirit of School of Rock, giving kids the chance to design, build or create something they can take home as a memento of their day.

Perfect for building confidence, sparking creativity, and developing performance skills, this workshop is all about finding your voice, backing yourself, and having an absolute blast!

Remember to dress as your favourite character, wear closed shoes, and bring a snack and your water bottle.

Suitable for ages 7-12.
