Life drawing sharpens observation, builds an understanding of the human body, and develops confident, expressive mark-making.

Drawing from life model brings energy, presence and humanity into the drawing that no photograph can replace.

About the workshop

Each week over eight weeks, participants will engage with the process of life drawing in a supportive and inclusive environment. Designed for varying levels of experience, participants may choose to receive fully tutored guidance or work independently at their own pace.

A professional life model will be present each week, providing the opportunity to study proportion, gesture, anatomy, and observation skills.

All materials are supplied, including easels, paper, charcoal, pencils, graphite, conté, and related drawing media.

Sessions are gently structured to support confidence, skill development, and creative engagement through regular practice within a shared community setting.

Who will be teaching?

Belinda Wilson is a visual artist whose practice spans over 20 years. Her paintings explore the Australian landscape, emphasising its fragility and the impact of natural phenomena on the human psyche. Using oils, watercolour and gouache, Belinda highlights the beauty in chaos and our connection to the environment.

Belinda has created bespoke artworks for galleries and private commissions for many years. She has been selected as a finalist for awards including the Omnia Art Prize and Art Olympia International Art Competition.
