Linocut is a printmaking technique used to create striking artworks. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to develop a design and carve it onto a lino tile. You can then apply ink to your tile and print your artwork.
Throughout the class, you’ll be guided with expert tips and tricks on how to create the look you’re after.
This workshop will cover:
- what lino carving is through an introduction into this artform
- all about lino carving materials, tools and techniques
- how to carve your lino tile
- what design works best for beginners
- printmaking materials and techniques
- how to print your carved lino tile and the best inks to use.
All tools and materials provided. Feel free to bring a design with you to the class (either a picture on your phone or a print-out is fine).
