A bunch of wooden printing blocked in assorted botanical shapes

Rajasthani hand block printing on fabric is a traditional craft which has been passed down over generations. Manjari will guide you through the Sanganeri style of printing with a range of traditional blocks.

Come along a try using a range of blocks to create borders and central motifs. You will create your own piece of printed cloth to take home as well as learn the skills to continue your hand block printing journey at home.

This workshop will cover:

  • an introduction to hand block printing
  • some history and context of the craft
  • making a border using border blocks
  • using stamps for the central motif.
