'Ikwewak (Women)' by Caroline Monnet

20 Mar 2026 In these photographic works on Kingston's lightboxes, Caroline Monnet invites women who are leaders in their fields to reclaim spaces that had previously been forbidden to their ancestors. These are the fifth and sixth work in a series that the artist began in 2016 in which she critically revisits major historical and art movements through an Indigenous lens.

'Diva Worship' by Hannah Brontë

20 Mar 2026 A photographic collaboration with queer femmes and the sun. Harmonising the channel of cyanotype as both ritual and process, the work explores the act of queer self-portraiture as a radical practice of self-reclamation and embodied power, honouring the sacred Queer Femme. This exhibition is displayed inside Kingston Art Centre's galleries, and as a projection onto Kingston's Skybridge, nightly.
