Before the Trash Test Dummies performance, take part in a fun, clowning workshop where you will learn all about how to clown around on stage!
This workshop will cover basic stagecraft, encourage participants to have fun on stage, increase their confidence and embrace the funny. No prior experience needed.
Suitable for ages 6 and above.
The workshop will include:
The workshop will start with a series of of name and action games to break the ice and to encourage the participants to start thinking about using their bodies in creative and interesting ways as well as get them limbered up for the rest of the workshop.
Participants will be guided through a series of physical theatre exercises and techniques. These exercises will be catered for all levels and delivered in a fun and inclusive manner.
Participants will learn a variety of clowning skills through clown games and play.
Participants will learn some basic slapstick techniques including tripping, falling and slapping in a safe and comical non-contact way. None of these activities will be done in a violent manner but rather delivered in a fun and rhythmical way.
There will be a short performance using the skills learned throughout the workshop.
