NAIDOC Week 2026 runs from 5 to 12 July, celebrating and recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s NAIDOC Week theme, ‘50 Years of Deadly,’ celebrates 50 years of honouring the strength, resilience, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while recognising the contributions of past generations and inspiring future ones.

Get involved in a range of free community events and activities to recognise the week, including a major exhibition of contemporary First Peoples’ art, a hands-on workshop with Bianca Easton and a performance from John Wayne Parsons.
