You’re invited to join us for the celebration of four exclusive exhibitions opening at Kingston Arts on Thursday 3 September 6 pm to 8 pm. 

Presented across our two Gallery spaces, the 24/7 Outdoor Lightbox Gallery and Skybridge projection space:

  • Kerri Wilson McConchie reimagines indigenous flora as a wildlife corridor in Refugia.
  • Susannah Langley responds to field recordings of the sounds of places, spaces and events in the City of Kingston in Kingston Sounds.
  • Andrew Duong explores the cultural significance of inherited items and values of sharing, appreciation and family in Hand me down.
  • Elizabeth Cole presents Antarctica through archival materials and warns of our uncertain future due to global warming in Rendered Other and Cast Out.

Light refreshments will be provided.

About Kerri Wilson McConchie

Kerri Wilson McConchie is a Naarm/Melbourne-based visual artist whose practice centres on drawing and moving image. Her audio‑visual and projection-based works bring together the material qualities of analogue drawing and printed imagery with digital processes, exploring states of transition through abstract, animated narratives.

About Susannah Langley

Susannah Langley is a visual artist whose practice encompasses experimental drawing, installation, and sound using unconventional media such as conductive material, found objects, field recording and virtual reality to explore ideas of lived spaces.

About Andrew Duong

Andrew Duong is an artist based in Boonwurrung and Bunurong lands in Noble Park, whose work is driven by his perspective as a second-generation Cambodian. His work often pays homage to the family through past stories and their connection to current political issues.
